Just before Christmas, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons issued a new patient FAQ regarding ALCL.

(Note – This FAQ document is in .pdf format)
This FAQ provides information to our patients and the general public regarding breast implant-associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. As you may be aware from previous articles, BIA-ALCL is a rare condition associated with breast implants which appears to be associated with textured surface breast implants.
Whist the information in this FAQ is similar to that which is provide to all of my patients during their consultation, I think it best to ensure that the information available is widely published to ensure that our patients have as much information as possible at their disposal.
Please get in touch if you have questions about ALCL, and particularly if you are considering breast augmentation surgery, or have previously had a breast augmentation (either with Dr Campbell-Lloyd or with another surgeon).
